This Post has Nothing to do with Cars. Well - OK - It Does have Something to do with Cars.
If you have been following the CarCynic on our Google Plus Page, you'll know we've been following the accomplishments of Qatar/Citroën WRC driver Nasser Al-Attiyah. No stranger to the Podium, this Qatari has won the Dakar Rally, stood on the Podium in WRC (World Rally Championship) racing, and now he's stood on the podium again - in the Olympics.
No, thrashing Rally cars around has not become an Olympic sport (yet). Al-Attiyah is also a world champion Sharp Shooter, and has taken Qatar's first 2012 Olympic metal. He won a bronze metal in Skeet Shooting.
The Gold Metal was won by -- and I don't add this as a dig or out of bias, just for complete reporting -- American - Vincent Hancock.
